Meet the Locals

by Visit Lincoln Team

Day 1

The secret to happiness? We have the answer. Spend your first day in Lincoln discovering why the city was named the happiest in America. We believe it isn’t the place that makes the people – it is the people who make the place, and we can’t wait to meet you! Spend your day visiting with the warm, welcoming souls that call Lincoln home. Start your morning with a freshly baked pastry made with love by a local baker and stroll through the 30,000 colorful flowers lining the picturesque Sunken Gardens with the Master Gardener.

Day 2

Do you smell that? A delicious breakfast awaits! Unfold your itinerary and begin your day with savory Eggs Benedict or a tower of fluffy pancakes at the beautiful, rustic Lodge at Wilderness Ridge. Next up, a visit to Robinette Farms, where you can meet the innovative growers and learn more about their passion for connecting community members with farm-fresh products through agriculture shares and local farmers’ markets. For lunch, an opportunity to meet the chef of one of Lincoln’s oldest and most unique restaurants within a historical home. Your mouth will water as you enjoy the smells of baked brie, lemony veal piccata and parmesan carbonara.
