Lied Center for the Performing Arts

Over the next couple of months, the Lied Center for Performing Arts is packed with enchanting performances that showcase a range of talent and holiday spirit. From November 12–17, Disney’s The Little Mermaid will captivate audiences with its beloved story, vibrant characters, and magical underwater world. On November 24, Love, Loss & Eternity promises a powerful experience, weaving together ballet and storytelling in a reflection on life’s most profound emotions. December 3 brings the Cornhusker Marching Band Highlights Concert, celebrating the best of Husker spirit with music and showmanship. Then, on December 14–15, the classic holiday ballet The Nutcracker returns, enchanting families with its timeless story and beautiful choreography. This season, the Lied Center invites the community to experience the magic of live performance.

Pinnacle Bank Arena

Fall at Pinnacle Bank Arena brings a mix of excitement, music, and family fun to Lincoln. On November 22, country legend Hank Williams Jr. will take the stage, offering fans a night of unforgettable hits and classic outlaw energy. Just a week later, on November 29–30, PAW Patrol Live: Heroes United will captivate young audiences as their favorite heroic pups take on an all-new rescue mission. With high-energy performances, colorful sets, and lots of interactive fun, PAW Patrol Live is a perfect way to kick off the holiday season with the whole family. This November, Pinnacle Bank Arena is the place to be for live entertainment in Lincoln!

Lincoln Community Playhouse

This fall, Lincoln's theater scene offers heartwarming and humorous performances for all ages at the Lincoln Community Playhouse. From November 15–17, The China Shop brings a lively blend of comedy and charm, sure to delight audiences with its lighthearted storyline and memorable characters. As the holiday season approaches, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever takes the stage from December 6–8 and December 13–15, offering a funny and touching story about the unexpected lessons learned when a group of misfit kids takes over a traditional Christmas play. These performances highlight the creativity and talent within the Lincoln community, making the Lincoln Community Playhouse a must-visit this season.

 

TADA Theatre

To wrap up 2024, TADA Theater in Lincoln is bringing a mix of nostalgia and holiday spirit to the stage, celebrating classic tunes and festive cheer. From December 11–21, The Andrews Sisters Holiday Extravaganza offers a delightful blend of swing and seasonal favorites, transporting audiences to an era defined by its unforgettable harmonies. Keeping the retro theme alive, Let’s Go to the Hop: A 50s and 60s Cabaret delivers a spirited tribute to rock 'n' roll, sock hops and timeless hits for a lively, toe-tapping experience. Looking ahead, fans can look forward to laughs and warmth with The Church Basement Ladies, running February 13–March 2, which humorously captures the antics in a church basement kitchen. This season, TADA Theater has something for everyone, from holiday classics to American musical favorites!

Nebraska Communities Playhouse

Don’t miss out on a holiday favorite at Hickman’s Nebraska Communities Playhouse! Irving Berlin’s “White Christmas” is a timeless film, featuring 17 Irving Berlin songs including the well-known standards “Blue Skies”, “I Love a Piano” and of course, “White Christmas”. The musical will have performances December 6-8 and again from December 12-15. Be sure to make plans for their upcoming 2025 season as well, which will feature classics such as “Oklahoma”, “Seussical” and “A Christmas Carol”.
