Esphyr Slobodkina Exhibition

This will be a retrospective of the artist's work and includes her noted abstractions form the 1930's through the 1950's as well as two orginal 1939 Caps for Sale book illustrations. The exhibition also highlights her sculpture and assemblages including Sheldon's 1939 piece titled Sailor's Wife. The exhibition is organized by the Slobodkina Foundation in association with the Heckscher Museum of Art in Huntington, N.Y. Progamming for this exhibition is made possible by a grant from the Nebraska Humanities Council.
